Chapter 6 Umbitch

Chapter 6

I do not own Harry Potter books or the movies. I do claim the OC known as Willow aka Raven. I give no one permission to use her.

“Just a little further.”

“Almost there…”

“Now!” Harry moved his hands away from Raven’s eyes and observed her reaction.

“ARIES!” Raven cried with joy.

Harry let out a grunt as she hugged the daylights out of him.

“How’d you…”

“It took some convincing…”

“Oh Harry, this is the bestest gift ever!”

He smiled as she ran up to the cage and opened it. Aries climbed onto her wrist and was already nudging against her. Harry swallowed back however as Willow broke into literal sobs and put her forehead to Aries.

“Thank you, Harry.”

He nodded and made his way over. He petted the top of Aries head. But Harry hadn’t the heart to tell her the truth. They were going to have Aries euthanized. In order to save him Harry opened his cage and it was as if the owl knew… Aries flew right on out of the cage and outside the shop. After receiving an earful from the shopkeeper, Harry exited the shop to see Aries waiting for him. The cage was something Harry had bought with his own money from another shop. He even went as far as to have Aries name engraved into the cage.

“What will you do with the other owl?” Harry asked with curiosity.

“Well since Sev took such a liking to him, he can keep him. The bloody imp is downright evil, Harry!”

Harry recoiled as she showed him where the owl had pecked her and managed to break through the skin.

“Imp is right…”Harry said with a frown.

“And is it just me or does he look a little like Snape?”

“See?! I thought the same thing!” Raven exclaimed and Harry laughed.

He reached over and used his thumbs to dry her tears. Harry sat up against one of the trees and motioned for Raven to join him. She sat between his legs and Harry wrapped his arms around her. Aries was hopping about the area eating whatever pests he could find.

“I can’t believe you brought me out here just so we could break up!”

“Honestly, what did you think I was bringing you out here for?!”

Cormac got this rather suggestive smirk about him and Hermione recoiled.

“Come now… I bet I could change your mind.”

“I highly doubt that!” Hermione fired back as she was walking away.

“You’ve thought about it, admit it. Having a roll with me…”

Hermione stopped in her tracks and her hands balled up into fists.

“That’s it! You’re scared, aren’t you?!”

Cormac walked on over and brushed Hermione’s hair away from her neck. He leaned into her ear.

“Don’t be frightened Hermione. Let nature take it’s course…”

Hermione spun back around and she shoved Cormac back. She cast her wand his direction.

“BACK OFF!” She shouted and Cormac was sent flying back and into a tree.

“Cormac!” Hermione hollered in a panic.

She went to check on him but came to an immediate halt.

“Harry?!” She called out in disbelief as he had his arms wrapped around Raven.

He nodded and motioned towards Cormac.

“Long day?”

“Something like that.” She murmured but with a baffled expression.

She did her best to shake it off and went on to check on Cormac. Raven and Harry came to their feet and made their way over as well. They helped Hermione in getting Cormac to come to. Cormac let out a grunt and reached to the goose egg on the back of his head.

“Bloody hell, what’s come over you?!” He spat and Hermione let out a sigh of relief but rolled her eyes, simultaneously.

Cormac came to his feet and shook his head upon Hermione. He said nothing as he stormed off and was heading back to Hogwarts. Hermione and Raven shared the same uncomfortable glance and silence to follow. Harry rubbed the back of his neck appearing to be rather uncomfortable himself.

“So you and Harry…” Hermione finally sputtered.

Raven nodded and Hermione forced a smile.

“That’s great. You deserve to be happy, both of you. As to yesterday… You were right. I haven’t been very supportive and I apologize.”

“Thank you.” Raven replied.

“I suppose I’d better head back now.”

Once Hermione was out of sight, Raven sighed amongst herself. She could see it written all over Hermione’s face. She was fifty shades of jealous. And Harry was just as clueless as ever.

“What?” He questioned.

“She’s got it bad, that one.”

“Come on, Harry… It’s what I’ve been trying to tell you all along. Hermione’s in love with you.”

Harry let out an awkward laugh.

“Nah… We’re friends, Willow.”

“That maybe, at least on your end. Hers? Not so much.”

“Can we discuss something other than my pseudo-sister maybe wanting to jump my bones? Eww!”

Raven laughed.

“I thought you wanted to date this pseudo-sister of yours…”

“Willow, I was honestly relieved when Cormac beat me to the punch. That’s how I knew that I didn’t quite see her in that sort of light.”

Aries screeched out and landed on Raven’s shoulder.

“Aries…” Raven scolded as he got right in her ear and screeched out yet again.

Harry narrowed his eyes and looked to the sky. Black clouds were rolling in and leaves were blowing off the trees. Aries was looking towards the sky and flapping those wings of his.

“He’s trying to warn us…” Harry said as he was quick to grab Aries and place him into his cage.

He handed the cage over and took Raven by the hand.

“Run…” Harry said and they took off.

They leaped over whatever obstacles they came across and ducked beneath the branches.

“Harry!” Raven called as she came to stop and looked around the area.

“There’s too many…”

Harry nodded seeing as how they were surrounded. They brought out their wants and stood back to back.

“Wait for it…” Harry stated and Raven nodded.

Four dementors were barreling down and right for them.

“Expecto Patronum!” They chorused and Raven’s jaw dropped as she finally managed to pull what she couldn’t during her training.

A cloud seemed to burst right out of her wand; it morphed into a silver ram and was charging right for the two dementors coming her way. Meanwhile, Harry’s stag was heading for the two coming his direction. They couldn’t have planned it more perfectly. Once the stag and ram came into contact with the dementors. This loud thunder like boom sounded across the area and a silver light formed around the area Raven and Harry were in. Harry swore that their Patronus Charms were working together as if in a bond of their own. He was in literal awe as the stag and ram chased the dementors off. He took her by the hand once again and they ran and didn’t stop until they were behind the walls of the school.

“Are they gone?”

Harry nodded as they were out of breath.

“That was amazing…” Raven whispered looking to be in awe as well.

“Right?! I’ve never seen anything like that!”

“It’s like they were…”

“Working together…” Harry finished and Raven nodded.

“And way to go… and a ram no doubt. I guess you just needed that little burst of adrenaline. You did great, Willow.”

“Why thank you, master.” She teased in that flirtatious pitch of hers.

Something about that drove Harry mad. He found himself backing her up against the wall and before long they were in a heated kiss. Harry let out a grunt as someone grabbed him and slammed him up against another wall. Draco’s friends seized Raven and were dragging her towards Draco and the other Slytherins.

“Can’t have any of that now…” Draco spat whilst eyeing Harry down.

“Let go of me!” Raven shouted.

“Take her to the common room. It seems as if my dear sister needs a little reminder in how things are done.”

Harry aimed his wand at Draco but Draco was quick to act and used the disarming charm to send the wand flying out of Harry’s hand.

“DON’T YOU TOUCH HER!” Harry shouted as they were dragging her away.

The Gryffindors rushed to Harry’s side and it became a literal standoff between the two houses. Raven broke out of the Slytherins hold and was charging right for Draco. She caught Harry by surprise as she knocked Draco to the ground. She had her knee against his sternum and her wand to his chin. Draco looked on in utter shock as that serpent’s tail made itself known and was crawling up her arm. Her eyes locked with his.

“NOOO!” Snape shouted as he rushed over, jerking her off him.

He had her by the collar of her robe and got right in her face.

“Are you willing to lose everything? You’ve been given a second chance. Don’t you ruin it by doing something utterly foolish!” Snape growled as he was shaking her.

Harry swallowed back as Raven wrapped her arms around Snape and started to cry.

“I’m sorry…”

Snape sighed and closed his eyes.

“Well go on now, all of you!” He snapped as he was taking Raven into one of the other rooms.

Raven let out an agonizing cry and was clawing at the sleeve of her robe.

“It won’t stop!”

Snape was quick to act and ripped her robe open. He staggered back in disbelief. Raven threw down her wand and wrapped her hand around her upper arm.

“Please Sev, make it stop! I can feel it crawling inside me!”

He ran his fingers along the lifelike tattoo forming around her arm. It was a golden snake and it was coiled around her eating it’s own tail. Snape cringed once it completed itself.

“Now you’ve gone and done it.”

“Done what?!”

He took her by the hand and brought her in front of a mirror. He forced her about so that she could see.

“That wand… There’s a reason it’s never had an owner.”

Raven narrowed her eyes and glanced towards the wand that was now lying about the floor.

“It can detect the three Unforgivable Curses. Think of this as a warning… If you had gone through with it, the consequences would’ve been much more severe.”

“I don’t understand…”

“Of course… Proving I was right after all. You’re not ready. You attending Hogwarts with the others is a bad idea. You haven’t the knowledge they do. It’s like I told you already… This isn’t something you can be thrown into and expect to be on the same page as everyone else!”

“I’m well aware. But I can do this and I’m going to prove it!”

“Do you even realize what this is?!” Snape hissed as he tapped his finger along the tattoo.

Raven shook her head.

“Every time you do something that’s against the wand’s wishes, you will be punished. The snake will continue in eating itself and if he ever gets all the way through… That means the cycle has ended and will begin all over again.”

“You die, Corvina. And the whole process of being reborn is a nightmare in itself. You will be put through a series of tests in order to earn that second chance. If you make it through and are brought back and you go against the wand’s wishes yet again; well let’s just say you’re going to wish you were never brought back in the first place.”

“How do you know all this?”

Snape pulled a certain face on this.

“Because I’ve seen it before.”

“What do you mean you’ve seen it before?”

“It doesn’t matter…”

“Sev…” She murmured looking ill.

Raven jumped as there was a knock at the door.

“Yes?” Snape called with impatience.

The door opened and Umbridge peeked inside nosily.

“Might I have a word?”

Snape sighed and headed on out. Raven sighed and gazed into the mirror once again.

“Terrific… Just go on now. Shove the whole Slytherin tribulation in my bloody face.”

She recoiled as she picked up Harry’s reflection in the mirror. He nodded and headed on over.

“Are you alright?” He asked wondering why her robe and the sleeve to her blouse were ripped open.

To anyone just walking in, it looked really bad. Harry was doing his best not to jump to conclusions. She nodded but covered her arm. Harry tilted his head and reached over prying her hand away. He was somewhat relieved once he saw what it was. His initial fear was that Snape had laid his hands on her or worse… considering her near exposure. Raven lowered her head in shame.

“I didn’t know you had a tattoo…”

But as he said this someone else came to mind. But he couldn’t remember if it was the same or not.

“Not willingly…”

Harry regarded her in question. Raven sighed and told him what Snape had.

“Willow…” Harry murmured looking plum ill.

He ran his fingers through his hair and leaned against the wall.

“I’m sorry, Harry. I hadn’t a clue…”

“But you did…”
She narrowed her eyes on this.
“I told you the consequences, remember? Do you want to follow in most of your family’s footsteps and spend your life in Azkaban?!”

Wait… what?”

Harry sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Look, you wanted me to train you. And in order to that I can’t sugar coat anything. I get it. Trust me. You’re angry and hurting.”

“I wasn’t going to kill him, Harry.”

“Then what was going through that head of yours?!”

“I wanted to take all my pain and cram it down that wretched mouth of his!”

“So the same curse that was put on your biological father?!”

Raven recoiled and Harry shook his head. He cupped her chin and looked her in the eyes.

“You might be a Malfoy and you might even share the same house. But that doesn’t identify you as a person. You said so yourself.” Harry tapped the area of her heart.

“This is what identifies you, Willow. And when it comes to that anger… You are not alone. You have someone that gets you, more than anyone. I’ve been there and I’m still going through it. I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. So talk to me. Let it out. I will help you in whatever way I can. But going against what I’m teaching you, isn’t going to help either of us. You reached out to me and for a good reason. And I’m more than willing to help. But I need you to promise that you will take what I have to say to heart from now on. Between you and me… What I wouldn’t give to end the Malfoys, once and for all. Wrong as it may be, it doesn’t change the facts. But Defense Against the Dark Arts is my favorite class for a reason. And that’s exactly what I’m teaching you DEFENSE against! Not the actual arts themselves. Do you understand that?”

Willow nodded and Harry hugged her.

“Aries is safe by the way. He’s visiting Hedwig at the moment.”

“I’m sorry, Harry.”

“Don’t be… Just promise me that you’ll think before you act. No matter how angry you get. You use that head of yours and listen to your heart.”

Willow nodded once again but looked to her wand and sighed.

“I want a new wand. That one’s dreadful.”

Harry sort of laughed.

“Scary as it might be… I think it just did you a favor. You’ll think twice on every decision you make from here on out. Not that I like the consequences. However… I do believe the wand has good intentions and is only out to keep you safe while keeping your eyes open.”

“What you said…about my family.”

Harry sighed on this.

“Look, all of that will be explained to you soon enough. But it needs to come from someone else and not me.”

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

Raven winced and wrapped her hand around the tattoo once again.

“Does it hurt?”

“Not as much… It stings a little.”

He used his wand to fix her robe.

“Is there something else?” He questioned with concern.

“They’re going to do everything within their power to get between us.”

“I know… But we won’t let them. And they’re going to see that soon enough. If anything, it’ll only make us stronger.”

Harry took her by the hand.

“We got this, Willow.”

She smiled as he headed out. Everyone looked upon them as they were heading down the hall.

“Everyone’s staring…” she whispered.

“Let them.” Harry replied with a shrug.

Once they got to the Gryffindor portrait door, Harry seated her at one of the nearby benches.

“I’ll get Aries.”

She nodded. Harry entered the password and headed on in. But the moment he entered the room he couldn’t believe his eyes. He wanted Raven to see this for herself. So he was quick to dash out and waved her over.

“I can’t…” She whispered looking around.

“No one’s here… Just come see this real quick.”

She came to her feet and was timid as she made her way over. But when she peeked inside she smiled. Hedwig and Aries were necking and with their eyes closed.

“It was the craziest thing, really. When I brought Aries in here Hedwig lost it and was trying to get to him. So I decided to test their reaction to one another and placed Aries in Hedwig’s cage.”

“Jesus, Harry! Are you hopping mad?!”

Ron was quick to grab Raven and shoved her out of the room.

“Ron!” Harry scolded furiously.

“She shouldn’t be in here.”

“I was showing her something!”

“Nothing she needs to see! Why don’t you go back to your neck of the woods!”

“I don’t know why you’re so mad she’s been here before, many times.” Harry remarked as to her house-elf days.”

Ron rolled his eyes and went to put his hands on her again. Harry knocked his hand away.

Don’t. I mean it. Touch her again and you and I will be having more than words.”

Ron regarded Harry in disbelief. Harry retrieved Aries from Hedwig’s cage. Just as he was to place Aries into his own, Hedwig cried out. Raven clamped a hand over her mouth. Harry sighed and turned back around.

“Aries will visit again, Hedwig. I promise.”

But as Harry went to hand the cage over, Hedwig went ballistic.

“Why don’t we let them stay in the Owlery so they can be together?” Raven suggested and Harry looked to be in thought.

“That’s a brilliant idea actually.”

Raven smiled.

“No need in separating them.” Raven said as Harry grabbed Hedwig’s cage.

As for Ron, he hadn’t taken his eyes off Raven. Harry took notice and was somewhat embarrassed. “Knock it off…” he whispered as he walked past.

“You’re shouldn’t be so hard on yourself. I’ve had years of practice whereas you haven’t. Willow, you’re doing great, considering…”

“But it feels like it taking me forever to get it down.”

“It’s been two days.” He said with a grin.

“Yeah but that’s on top of what Sev is teaching me as well.”

“And what is it he’s teaching you, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Books… lots and lots of books. I’ve never done so much reading in my life! It’s a good thing you taught me how or I’d be a complete mess!”

Harry had a good laugh at this.

“Sounds like our first year. I’m sure that’s what he’s going for. He just wants you prepared before getting in too deep.”

“Like we are?”

“And that’ll be our dirty little secret.” Harry said with a wink.

“Now let’s try one more time before calling it a night.”

Raven waited until he gave the signal.

Harry chuckled as she finally managed to disarm him.

“See? You just needed to get your mind off it for a bit!”

“That’s wicked! Can I try it one more time?”

He picked up his wand and let her have another go. She giggled once she managed to pull it off again.

“Looks like you got it down.”

Harry picked his wand back up and aimed it towards Raven.

“Wingardium Levisoa.” He said and Raven looked to the ground wide-eyed.

Harry had her floating above the ground and towards him. Once she was within reach he grabbed ahold of her and pulled her towards him. He placed a strand of hair behind her ear.

“We stick it out, no matter what is said or done.”

Harry cleared his throat and got this certain smirk about him.

“It’s about time a Slytherin succumbed to a Gryffindor…”

Her jaw dropped and she popped him across the chest. Harry laughed.

“What’s to say it’s not the other way around?”

“Um hello… Master over here, remember?!”

“No. No. You can call me master. I don’t mind…”

Harry raised his brows as Raven had her hand up against his chest and was backing him up against a nearby pillar. She had him by the collar of his shirt and was kissing him. The longer the kiss lingered, the more dumbfounded Harry became. So much so that Harry hadn’t realized she disarmed him and by simply taking the wand from his hold. Just as she went to walk away she pivoted around and waved her wand his direction. The buttons to Harry’s shirt hit the floor one by one and with a slight ping following. His shirt spread open and Raven tilted her head.

“Not bad…” She said afterward leaving a speechless Harry Potter behind.

Once again Harry was waiting for Raven outside the Slytherin quarters. He sent her a wink and wrapped his arm around her as they were heading to class. Like usual, they could hear the students gossiping and making a big deal out of the situation. On a couple occasions Raven could hear the Gryffindors going on about how Harry deserved more and could do so much better. It was to be expected. She was dating the celebrity of Hogwarts or more like the entire wizarding world. The more she thought on this the more her stomach knotted up. It just occurred to her how much responsibility she herself had in this relationship. She had to prove that she was worthy of Harry. The mere idea had her almost hyperventilating.

“Are you alright?” Harry asked as they entered the class and took their seats.

Raven nodded but had her eyes closed and was taking nice long breaths. Harry looked over with concern. In some ways Raven found it easier being a house-elf. Not that she’d ever wish to go back. But at least she knew where she stood. But now? It was all very confusing. Her eyes widened and Harry reared back as Raven shot to her feet and darted on out of the room. She ran into the girls’ bathroom and headed straight for the sink. The young witch hadn’t realized it would hit her this hard. She turned on the sink and splashed her face. Raven lifted her eyes and gazed upon her reflection in the mirror.

“You can do this…” She did her best to encourage.

“It’s like Harry said… You’re free.”

A small yelp escaped her as an all too familiar cat leaped onto the sink. It tilted it’s head and Raven went to pet it but it was quick to jump down and she staggered back with a gasp.

“Bloody h… I mean…”

“I know you’re new to all this, but the proper thing would’ve been to raise your hand and let me know where you were headed.”

“Yes, ma’am. Sorry…”

Professor McGonagall gave a simple nod.

“Back to class…”

“Yes ma’am…”

Just as Raven was to exit the bathroom, Professor McGonagall called to her. Raven pivoted back around.

“You’re right about one thing.”

Raven regarded the older woman in question.

“You can do this…” she said with a warm smile.

Raven smiled in return.

“Now off with you.”

Raven nodded and was quick to head back. Once class dismissed, Harry pulled Raven off to the side.

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No, not at all. It was me. I had a moment, that’s all.”

“Are you sure?”

She smiled and pecked him on the cheek.

“We’re good, Harry.”

Harry gritted his teeth however as Malfoy and his friends pried the two apart. They dragged them into Professor Umbridge’s office; where Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom were already waiting. Raven looked to the sheer amount of cat plates within the office.
“Well that certainly explains things…” the others heard her scoff.

“Explains what?” Neville questioned with curiosity.

“She’s a bitter old cat lady.”

Harry chuckled in response. The door to the office opened and Umbridge stepped inside.

“I got it from here…” Umbridge said as she dismissed Malfoy and his friends.

Malfoy sent his sister a taunting wink. She mouthed the words ‘piss off’ and Goyle laughed. But just as he was to leave he leaned into her ear.

“Whenever you’re ready for a real man just let me know. I’ll be waiting…”

Raven choked back in laughter.

“You?!” She scoffed and Goyle frowned.

“You’d have a better chance with Draco. He’s already got you on your knees as it is…”

“I’m afraid she’s got you on that one.” Harry added and Goyle stormed off.

“Good morning. Please have a seat.”

The four of them looked to the chairs Umbridge already had setting out. They took their seats and Umbridge sat at her desk and was scooping several spoonfuls of sugar into her coffee. She took her time stirring it then preceded in sipping at it. She smiled and sighed in delight afterward.

“I suppose you’re wondering why I took you away from your studies. As you already know I hold your education in highest regard. But I also believe the only path to true success through discipline. Something the four of you lack. So today we will be going over lines. I have someone in my stead for the Defense Against The Dark Arts lesson. We will spend the remainder of the day together.”

Umbridge handed out ink and quills. But when she got to Harry she only handed him a quill.

“You haven’t given me any ink…” Harry said as she was walking away.

“Oh you won’t be needing any ink. That’s a very special quill of mine.”

Raven narrowed her eyes wondering what that meant exactly.

“I want you all to write I will obey all the rules’.”
Raven shook her head and placed her quill down.

“But it would be a lie.”

Professor Umbridge nodded and walked over to Raven’s desk. She leaned in and had that smile planted along that face of hers still.

“Then you will be expelled. Is that what you want?”

“Of course not, but your rules they’re…”
“They’re…?” Umbridge challenged.

Umbridge nodded once again.

“Then up you go…”

Raven reared back as Umbridge pointed to the door.

“It’s a shame really. You couldn’t make it past your first year. Perhaps Knockturn Alley will be of service to you. Good luck, Miss. Malfoy.”

Harry shot to his feet in realization.

“She didn’t mean it!”

Raven tilted her head upon Harry. He had this pleading look about him as he gazed into Raven’s eyes.

“Apologize and do whatever she says.”

Raven’s jaw dropped and Umbridge’s smile grew even wider than it was before.

“Please Willow… just keep your mouth shut for once.” But as he said this it was eating him alive.

He just couldn’t bear the thought of her getting expelled. Raven cut him a ‘look’ but said nothing as she grabbed that quill, dipped it into the ink, and did as Harry asked.

“How many times?” Neville asked.

“However many times it takes for it to sink in.”

After the first couple lines, Harry let out a painful grunt.
“Harry?” She whispered out of concern.

“Harry?” She whispered.

He cleared his throat and went on to act as if everything was fine. Raven sighed and went back to writing her lines. The others hadn’t a clue that the quill Harry was using was actually drawing blood. And every time Harry finished with a line – the words were carved into the opposite hand, causing Harry significant pain. When he started a new line the open wound would heal but it left a red mark behind and the cycle would repeat itself. By the fifteenth line Harry had grown incredibly weak but feared saying anything on it. He didn’t wish to have the others sharing the same fate.

This continued for a few more hours. The others were getting blisters on their hands but it was nothing in comparison to what Harry was going through. When Professor Umbridge called upon them to stop, Harry was white as a ghost and could barely keep his head up. He used the sleeve of his robe to hide the red marks on his hand. Umbridge went over the rules once again and dismissed them. But just as they exited the office, Harry’s eyes rolled into the back of his head. Neville barely caught him in time.

“Harry!” Raven called out in alarm.

Umbridge stepped out of her office and tilted her head upon Raven.

“Breaking the rules already?”

Raven’s entire face lit up with fury.

“What did you do to him?!”

“Nothing he didn’t have coming. He got just what he deserved and if you continue in your rebellious ways he will pay each and every time. So you would do good to remember that. Now off you go… I had better not see you associating with anyone outside your house again.”

Neville sent her an imploring look as he was tending to Harry. The young witch recoiled and headed onto the Slytherin dormitory.

“Come on, Harry. You should give her a chance.”
Harry regarded Ron in disbelief.

“I’m seeing Willow…”

“Which is against the rules now.”

“So is dating Cho!” Harry reminded.

Right…” Ron sighed in defeat.

“I know… You should ask Hermione out!”

Harry wrinkled his nose on this.

“What part of I’m dating Willow, do you not get? And Hermione?! That’d be like you dating Ginny!”

Ron had this disgusted look about him.

“Now there’s an image…”

“Maybe he should date your sister.” One of the other Gryffindors suggested causing both boys to pull a face.

“Ewww she’s my sister!”

“And she looks like my mother…” Harry mumbled as well.

“But not his… Besides everyone knows Ginny has it bad for Harry.”

Harry reared back on this.

“She’s your biggest fan…” the boy uttered in dreamlike state of mockery.

“Stop…” Ron demanded and the boy laughed.

“Why would Harry date anyone else? Can’t you see he’s happy with Raven?” Neville defended gathering the Gryffindor boys’ attention.

“I don’t see why you have such an issue with Raven to begin with. She’s not like the other Slytherins. She’s different, you know.”
“Says the one dating a freak…” Ron scoffed.

“What did you say?” Neville snapped.

“Oh come on, Neville. There’s a reason everyone calls her Loony Luna.”

“RONALD!” Harry scolded in disbelief.

“Don’t get me wrong at least she’s not a slithering snake, but still. You could do better, both of you. And did you just call to me like my mother, Harry?!”

Neville took everyone by complete surprise as he walked on over and popped Ron across the face. Harry’s eyes widened and he was quick to grab Neville and hold him back as the others grabbed ahold of Ron.
“What in the bloody hell?!” Ron shouted as he put a finger to his busted lip.

“I only did what Harry should’ve done a long time ago.”

Harry winced back and dropped his hold.

“Sorry Harry… But he isn’t your friend and hasn’t been. I’m just calling it like it is. And if you ever talk about Luna like that again I’ll take that wand of yours and shove it right up your arse!”

The guys regarded Neville in shock as he stormed on out of the common room.

“What got into him?!” Ron griped.

Harry shook his head.

“He’s right. Only that…” Harry pointed to Ron’s busted lip.

“Should’ve come from me.”

Ron regarded Harry in a stupor.

“Do you think I don’t see past the ultimatum you’ve given me? It’s you or Willow, right?”

Ron wouldn’t answer and this had Harry gritting his teeth.

“AS A MATTER OF FACT IT IS!” Ron snapped in return.

Harry closed his eyes as his whole body heated over. His hands balled up in to fists and a sudden gust of wind sent Ron flying over the couch. The other Gryffindor’s looked to Harry in bewilderment and were backing away from him. When Harry opened his eyes they were dark and sinister looking. He said nothing as he too exited the room.

“Tell me you’re joking…” Raven scoffed as she stepped into the Slytherin common room and saw Goyle sitting at a table with a candlelight dinner for two.

He had a single rose in hand and was dressed in his Sunday best. Goyle came to his feet and offered her the rose. She took the rose and tossed it into the fireplace.

“Flies down by the way…” She said as she was heading on out.

Goyle looked down and was quick to zip his pants.

“And where do you think you’re going?” Draco questioned as he was blocking her path.

“It’s none of your business. Now step aside.”

“On the contrary, everything you do is my business. And I’ve yet to set you straight…”

She regarded Draco in wonder.

“You know… that little tantrum you had. Did you really think I’d let you get one up on me?”

Raven gasped back as he grabbed a fistful of her hair and jerked her towards him. She reached for her wand and he was quick to knock it out of her hand. He backhanded her and hard enough that she lost her balance and her head hit against the corner of one of the stone pillars. Draco rolled his eyes afterward and crouched down to check on her.

“Wake up.” He hissed as he cupped her chin.

The side of her head had a good gash and a puddle of blood formed around her.

“Such the weakling… Honestly.”

A small whimper escaped her as she was fighting to come to. Draco nodded amongst himself.

“I know just what to do with you…”

When Raven came to the following morning she was freezing. She saw where she’d been stripped of her Slytherin robes and was out in the middle of the Quidditch field. They were firing multiple water charms at her. This was followed by laughter. Raven let out a gasp and shot to her feet.

Raven was quick to cover herself as all she had on was a black bra and matching panties. The entire Slytherin house surrounded her. Draco had everyone stop and he stepped on out. He marched right on over and leaned into her ear.

“You’re like a little beanpole with baps.” He stuffed her Slytherin robe in to her arms.

“Get dressed. You’re pathetic as always…”

Tears streamed on down her face as he and the other Slytherins walked away. When Raven entered the classroom that morning, not only was she late… But her hair was a mess, her body was caked in grass and mud, She’d hadn’t time to wash up as she’d just come from the Quidditch field. Raven took her seat then wrapped her hand around her arm where the snake was. She could feel it pulsating and crawling within her. Harry slid a piece of paper beneath her hand.

She gave a simple nod. Harry sighed as he snuck in another one.

It’s time we amp things up a bit…Tonight.

Raven was quick to turn the notes into ashes. And just in the nick of time as the door to Professor McGonagall’s class swung open. Umbridge had Draco with her and he pointed towards Raven and Harry. She nodded and waved her wand about. Harry and Raven’s hands were pried apart and their desk was split down the middle. They were forced to opposite sides of the classroom. “Much better!” She happily announced and went to walk away. However, Professor McGonagall was shooting daggers Umbridge’s direction.

“You interrupted my class just for that?!”

Professor Umbridge stopped dead in her tracks and spun back around.

“We can’t have our students breaking the rules, now can we?”

“I’ve had just about enough of this ludicrously! If anything those two are setting a great example for the other students. In all my years of teaching I can honestly say this makes a first – a Slytherin and Gryffindor hand in hand. Who are we to say that’s against the rules?!”

“I am the secretary to the…”

“Aye now… I know who ye are a baw juggler and I couldn’t care less. This is my time with my class and I will teach it as I see fit, without interruption!” She snapped with her Scottish accent thicker than ever.

Every student shared the same jaw dropping expression.

“Very well, have it your way. You’re to leave the premises at once. You’re fired.”

Raven and Hermione shot to their feet.
“You can’t fire her!” They said in unison.

“I believe I just did! Now I suppose I’m to take over the Transfiguration class as well.” Umbridge said with a sigh.

“What would you know about Transfiguration?!” Professor McGonagall barked and Umbridge got right in her face.

“Plenty… Now off you go!” The students gasped out as Umbridge used her wand to send Professor McGonagall out of the class.

“Whoa…” One of the Gryffindor boys whispered as he caught a glimpse of Raven.

She’d that wand of hers in hand and that serpents tail was coiling around her and inching it’s way up her arm. Her eyes were glued to Umbridge’s. Umbridge tilted her head Raven’s direction and she walked on over.

“Go on… See where it gets you.”

Harry swallowed back and shook his head upon Raven. The young witch was shaking all over.

“You know you want to…”

“She didn’t deserve that…” Raven uttered.

“I will decide who deserves what around here. Now have a seat or you’ll be joining her.”

“You won’t get away with this.” Harry said hoping to get the attention off of Raven.

Professor Umbridge said nothing as she walked on over and took a seat at Professor McGonagall’s desk. Towards the end of class everyone, aside from the inquisitorial squad was using one of the black quills. The one like Harry had used in detention. Umbridge had that smile planted along her face as the students continued to write ‘I will obey all the rules’. Once the class was dismissed the students couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Each of them was rubbing their hands and shared the same pale complexion. Raven’s head was pounding and her vision started to blur. She placed one of her hands against the wall in order to keep from passing out. Harry caught wind of this and despite the rules he darted on over.

When she looked over there were two Harrys standing before her.

“I don’t feel so good…” She murmured and he was quick to scoop her up.

“My word… When did you hit your head?” The nurse questioned as she was examining her.

Raven’s head was swaying back and forth and she fought to keep her eyes open. The nurse sighed and looked to Harry.
“I think she has a concussion.’

“Concussion?!” Harry exclaimed.

The nurse pulled Raven’s hair back and showed Harry where she’d hit her head. It was then he took notice of the handprint going across her face as well.

“Malfoy…” Harry growled and Raven reached out to him but he was already out the door.

“Oh no you don’t…” The nurse said as Raven went to stop him.

“You’re staying right here.”

Snape was in the middle of class when Harry barged on in.

“She’s your godchild! That makes her YOUR responsibility!”

Snape raised his brows.

“What are you babbling on about, Potter?!”

“Corvina! She’s getting hazed and her own brother is taking his hands to her. Do something, or I will!” And on this note Harry stormed on out.

When Harry went to check up on Willow Umbridge’s squad was blocking his path.

“Going somewhere, Potter?”
“Move…” Harry hissed.

“You know the rules…” Draco scoffed with a certain beam about him.

“She’s your sister!”
“I’m well aware. All the more reason if you ask me.”
“I didn’t.”
“Maybe you should.”

“You want me to ask YOU permission in order to date your sister?!”

Draco nodded with a sly grin about him,

“Not happening.”

“Then you’ve got a long road ahead of you, Potter. I don’t want you anywhere near my sister. In fact I feel the need to turn over a new leaf and become the big brother she’s always needed. Everywhere she goes, I’ll be right there – watching after her.”

“You’ll stay away from her!”

“Or what…?” Draco challenged.

“You’re going to see a side of me you’ve never seen before, Malfoy. You haven’t a clue…”

Malfoy and his friends started laughing.

“Are you fucking her, Potter?”

Harry gritted his teeth and Draco got right in his face.

“I always knew you were a complete wanker. I bet you had her sucking your dick as a house-elf.”

Goyle frowned and he cut Malfoy a look of absolute disgust. Harry acted as if he were to push his way past only he cast out his wand instead… “Spank Simia!”

Malfoy had this surprised look about him but started laughing.

“Nothing. Why that’s wasn’t even a real hex!” Draco murmured with a shrug.

Harry cocked a brow on this.

“Are you certain?” He taunted.

“Bloody hell… What are you doing?” Goyle whispered looking embarrassed.

Crabbe looked over as well and his jaw dropped. Harry smiled and tilted his head.

“He’s bloody wanking!” Crabbe announced.

Draco’s eyes widened as he looked down. He had his hand stuffed into his pants and sure enough he was…

“Not working with much, now are we?” Harry further taunted.

“Stop it! I mean it, Potter!” Draco cried and Harry shook his head.

“And that’s just the beginning… Keep it up Malfoy and see where it gets you. I hope you enjoy the next 48 wretched hours.”
“48 hours?!” Draco yowled with tears in his eyes.

Harry gave a simple nod and walked away.

He put a finger to his lips then moved a strand of hair away from her eyes. Raven looked around the room seeing as how it was dark.
“You shouldn’t be here…” She whispered in alarm.

Harry revealed that he had the cloak of invisibility with him. She giggled into the palm of her hand.

“Always thinking ahead…”
“You know it…”

Harry cleared his throat.

“How you feeling?”
“Better actually.”

Harry nodded then climbed into the bed and laid beside her.

“I take it we missed our training session.”

“Willow, your health is more important.”

“What time is it?”

“1:43 am.”

Her eyes widened and she started to rise. Harry sighed and had her stay put.

“I can’t believe I slept all day and night! How long have you been here?”

“Just for an hour or so… Thanks to Umbridge and her preposterous rules; I had to find another way to you.”

Harry placed the cloak over him and Raven smiled.

“That bloody wicked…”

Raven reached over and ran a hand along the cloak.

“We could have fun with that…”

Harry chuckled and had her join him.

“You mean like this?” He murmured as he ran a hand along her thigh and kissed her.

The moment her tongue slipped on through his lips he let out a moan. Harry had her overlapping him and the kissing continued.

“Willow…” He softly called as she was grinding against him.

She had him so worked up Harry was afraid of embarrassing himself by spilling his seed, right there.

“Is something wrong, master?” She taunted in that seductive purr of hers.

Harry gritted his teeth and his hips bucked off the bed. He’d this wide-eyed look about him afterward. Raven giggled and Harry shook his head.

“You’re kind of evil you know that, right?”

She nodded and leaned into his ear.

“I might be Slytherin. But rumor has it you’re a parselmouth, which certainly explains why you’re such a great kisser. Just imagine what else you could do…”

Harry rolled over reversing the hold she had on him. And with her wrists pinned to the bed, he whispered “minx” but in parseltongue.

He chuckled as she was the one bucking her hips now. Harry kissed her once again then put his forehead to hers.

“About yesterday…”

She regarded him in question.

“What I said about keeping your mouth shut. I…”

“Was looking out for me, like always.” She said with a smile and Harry nodded.

“I’ll admit I was hit out of left field at first. But once I gathered what you were doing I understood.”

Harry closed his eyes and sighed as he rolled onto his back.

“She’s getting out of hand…”
Raven nodded in agreement.

“This isn’t Hogwarts… And I hate that you’re being robbed of that. I mean sure every year there seems to be something. But this one takes the cake. I can’t believe she fired Professor McGonagall.”

“Me either…” Raven uttered sadly.

Harry pulled her into his chest and kissed the top of her head.

“She’s your favorite, isn’t she?” Harry questioned but with more curiosity than anything.

Raven nodded.

“I figured this much… I saw in your eyes. She’ll be back, Willow. I promise.”

“I truly hope so.”
“She will.” He assured.

“Now as to Malfoy…”

Raven sighed and lifted her head.

“He managed to get one up on me, nothing new. I got this, Harry.”

“Is that what you’re thinking? That I doubt you?”

She lowered her head and he shook his.

“Willow, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I know you can put Malfoy in his place. It’s just not something that’s going to happen overnight. Like me, he’s had years of training. This puts you at a disadvantage. But I haven’t any doubt that by this time next year, you’ll have Slytherin answering to your every beckon call.”

Raven snorted on this. Harry sat up cupping her chin.

“I’m serious. I’ve seen it… When we’re training, especially. At first I didn’t agree, but now I can see why the sorting hat put you in Slytherin.”

She frowned on this.

“Slytherin needs someone like you. Someone that can put Malfoy in his place and he’ll eventually fade into the background. When that happens… Slytherin will be turning to you.”

“So what are you saying exactly?”
“Just think of this as the modern day Shakespearean tale…”
“Are you saying that we’re star-crossed lovers, Harry?!”

“I should hope not… But I am saying that if I can be the voice of reason when it comes to Gryffindor… Then I don’t see why you can’t be when it comes to Slytherin. Do you see where I’m going with this?”

“So it’s up to us to change things, for the better?”

Harry nodded.

“How can I even begin to achieve this when the entire Slytherin body thinks I’m nothing more than a joke?!”

“You have to find a way to turn the joke around.”

“Take the attention off you by placing it onto Malfoy instead. Like start off with something small… Then work your way up. I’m willing to bet that Fred and George have few tricks up their sleeves. You should get to know them and see what they have to offer.”
“Is Harry Potter taking the James Potter route?”

He cocked a questionable brow. This had her giggling.

“I heard the stories… From my understanding, James was a bit of a trickster.”

Harry sort of laughed.

“That he was…”

“I wish I could’ve met your parents…”

“Me too. They would’ve liked you.”
“Are you sure about that?”

“Absolutely, my father especially.”

“Harry…” Raven whispered in warning as she heard someone enter the room.

When she looked over he was already gone. She narrowed her eyes and patted the area beside her. But it was as if he were never there.

She was quick to adjust the covers and sat up.

He used his wand to light up the area around them. Severus sat at the edge of her bed and was checking her over.

“How are you?”

“I’m good…”

“Are you certain?”

Raven drew back a breath on this but nodded. Severus closed his eyes for a brief moment.

“You should’ve told me. I’d have done something.”

“Done what exactly?”

“Whatever it takes…”

“We know you can’t… Lucius would be all over you if you touch one hair on that little imp.”

“I can deal with Lucius.”

“Sev… It isn’t just Lucius you have to concern yourself with. We both know that. I can deal with Draco. I have for years.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“That it’s time for a change…”
“Sev… We’ve talked about this already. Just let me handle it.”

Raven jumped as Severus shot up and paced the area. After a solid minute passed, he offered Raven his hand.

“Come with me.”
“Where to?”

He didn’t answer and took her hand anyhow. He led her throughout the castle and to the Hogwart’s Pensieve in Dumbledore’s office.

“Show me…” Severus demanded.

“Show you what?”

“I want to know.”
“Know what?!”

“No you don’t!”

“You’re right. I don’t. But it’s what’s needed. And you’re to do so without holding back.”

“If this is your way of helping me then no thanks!”

Raven started to exit the office but felt something brush up against her. She said nothing on it but already knew. She swallowed back and did her best not to react to his presence.

“Corvina…” Sev called out and in a pleading manner.

“It’s the only way. You always say that I do not understand. If there is a better way of opening my eyes then tell me what it is. Can’t you see I only have YOUR best interest at heart?”

Raven lowered her head for a moment.

“How does it work?”

Sev went on to explain and she nodded.

“So it’s only whatI want you to see?”
“For the most part.”

“Why do I not like the sound of that?”

“It can be twitchy but it’ll help me to have a better understanding.

Raven looked to the stone bowl and sighed in defeat.

“Fine… But I had better not regret this. I mean it, Sev. These are my memories we’re talking about.”

Severus walked on over and caressed her cheek.

“All the more reason…”
“Where do I start?”

“When you were turned… and on.”

“That’s a lot to cover…”

He nodded in agreement.

“Then we had better get started.”

Corvina Malfoy cried as she watched her personal house-elf (and had been since birth) take the Crutiatus Curse meant for her. His body thrashed about, much like a fish out of water. The pain was so intense he couldn’t so much as scream. Still he somehow managed to shield the child from any harm. Once Lucius called off the torture, the child ran up to Dobby and hugged him close. When Lucius took a step towards the child Dobby held up a trembling hand.

Please master… She is just a child.”

Out of my way!”

Corvina mustn’t pay for Mrs. Malfoy’s betrayal!”

Corvina screamed out as Lucius sent the elf flying up against a wall. He marched on over and grabbed the child by the collar of her dress. He lifted her up off the ground and was shaking her. Her tiny hands wrapped around his wrists.

Daddy…” She cried out and this had the man snarling back in anger.

Daddy?” He scoffed.

DADDY?!” He voiced even louder.

The child let out a gasp as he had her up against the wall now. His hand wrapped around her throat. Tears were streaming down the man’s face as he was choked her.

You were my little princess!”

My world!”

But now you’re NOTHING!”

MASTER PLEASE!” Dobby shouted as he limped on over.

Corvina is still Master’s princess. Don’t do this!”

Lucius gritted his teeth and he flung the child towards the house-elf’s feet. He aimed his wand her direction and before Dobby could so much as blink. The child was submerged within a black cloud and bolts of lightning orbited it.

NOOOO!” Dobby cried as the bolts struck the child over and over.

The cloud began to fade and smoke rose within the air. Dobby gasped back as the child was no longer a child but that of a house-elf.

She’s your responsibility now. Keep her out of sight and out of mind. I want nothing to do with the bastard child.”

Raven leaned over the stone bowl and focused on breathing.

“Just give me a moment…”

Severus nodded. Once she gained her composure she showed him how Draco had her answering to his every call, no matter how ridiculous it was. The boy had named the house-elf ‘Rubbish’. He finally had what he always wanted. He was getting all the attention now and he had his little sister cleaning his room, doing his laundry, making his bed, and cooking his meals. At times he even went as far as to have her dressing and bathing him. During these moments she was not allowed to use magic. And when Draco was having a bad day, he’d take it out on her. He would call her names, practice his charms on her, or flat out abuse her. And it was he that set up the punishment curse. Draco would go out his way in order to certain she wronged him, no matter how small. He took pleasure in watching her beatings. And if she ever fought back he’d amp things up by creating even more versions of her house-elf self and they would gain up on her.

Before long the other house-elves seemed to forget that she was a child. She was expected to act just as they did and serve just as they would. Even Dobby seemed to forget from time to time. Winky had blown up at her many times for acting too human and would punish Rubbish for wanting her freedom. According to Winky, they had it made and it was insulting to even hear of such a thing. Over the years Rubbish had kept to herself and was softly spoken. It wasn’t until Harry came into the picture that all changed.

Raven staggered back after showing her godfather these memories.

“You’ll have to be careful with that one…” Severus expressed.

Raven looked to Severus in question.

“If you’re not careful you will end up just like Lily! The boy is nothing more than a clone of his father and James failed in keeping Lily safe.”

Raven regarded her godfather in disbelief but what knowing Harry was right there to hear that… hurt even more.

“Out of everything I just showed you… That’s what you took from everything? My relationship with Harry?! And your history with Mr. Potter hasn’t anything to do with Harry!”

“It has plenty to do with the wretched boy! Mark my words, Corvina… If you continue down this path you will only live to regret it and that’s if you even live!”

“So you think you’re inlove… Is that it?!”

Raven’s entire face flushed over.

“You are young and foolish. You haven’t the faintest in what love is!”

“What I feel for Harry is deep within me. Every decision I make he comes to mind. And just when I think I cannot bear another day of this hell; he smiles or laughs and all those wretched thoughts seem to fade. I’m thankful for every chill and goose bump I get when he’s around, because it reminds me of how lucky I am. Harry could have any girl he wanted but he chose me! That’s not something I take lightly. When he looks at me I see more than just some schoolgirl crush. I see a future. One I would never take for granted. Sure it’s going to be one hell of a battle. It already is. But I haven’t any doubt that we have what it takes. Love is the basis to everyday life. It gives us power… more than you ever realized. And if this isn’t love then why do I feel as though I’ve been given a gift? One I’m not willing to give up and I will do whatever it takes in order to keep that gift. I might be young. I might be foolish. On that we agree. But don’t you tell me what I feel. It is YOU that hasn’t the faintest.”

Raven put her wand to her forehead and withdrew another memory. She placed it in the Pensieve. Snape narrowed his eyes at this particular memory. Raven was 4 years old and Severus was showing off some of his charms. She would giggle off and on and even referred to him as ‘uncle Sev’. The man had a genuine beam about him and was laughing in return. The memory showed her chasing after his doe patronus as the two played. Once the memory faded Raven lifted her head.

“Where’d that man go?”

Severus closed his eyes and Raven gritted her teeth.

Severus opened his eyes and she thickly swallowed as he backed her up against the wall of Dumbledore’s office.

“I’d lost one love already. When Lucius took you away from me I hadn’t anything left.”
“But that’s just it, he didn’t. I was still there. I needed you! And you turned your back to me! EVERYONE TURNED THEIR BACK TO ME! I WAS NOTHING!”

Raven reared back in realization.

“You were in love with Harry’s mother, weren’t you?” She whispered and Sev recoiled.

“That’s it, isn’t it? You can’t stand Harry because he reminds you of James. And James ended up with the love of your life. Only she was never aware of your true feelings… Was she?! And Lily might’ve been the love of your life but it’s not Harry’s fault that you weren’t hers.”

“I despise Potter because he’s a constant reminder of what I could’ve had…”
“You mean a wife and son…”

“It doesn’t matter what I mean. At the moment my only concern is you… You’ve every right to hate me. And I will spend the rest of my days making it up to you, by whatever means necessary. Starting with Lucius and Draco.”

“Corvina… I will not argue with you on this matter.”
“And what of the others…?” she hinted.

“I will worry on that when and if the time comes.”
“They’ll kill you.”

“Then so be it…”

“You got Potter…” he murmured with bitterness.

“No. You’re much worse!”

He nodded looking somewhat peeved.

“You’re the literal figment of EVERYTHING I hate!”

She flinched as if he’d socked her one.

“This…” He pointed to the area of his heart.

“I DETEST THIS! As to why I rid of it once he took you away.”
“I don’t understand.”

“Nothing you say makes sense!”
He cupped her chin and looked her in the eyes.

“I felt nothing!”

She shook her head as it still wasn’t comprehending.

“When I saw what he’d done… I felt nothing and it was wonderful.”

Her jaw dropped and Severus blocked her attempt at hitting him.

“Do you know why I felt nothing?!” he growled.

Tears formed within her eyes and she shook her head.

“Because I didn’t want to. I CAST IT ALL AWAY! In fact today makes a first that I’ve felt ANYTHING in a very long time. And it’s ALL YOUR FAULT, YOU…”

Severus closed his eyes once again.

“Because like HER you’re just another reminder…”

“So you cursed yourself… is that what you’re telling me?!”

He nodded.

“So you wouldn’t feel anything, correct?”

He nodded once again. Raven nodded in return.

“So while I was going through literal hell, you felt absolutely nothing. Because that’s the way you preferred it?”

“If Sirius were still with us he’d have ripped his own heart out before pulling such an incredibly SELFISH act. You never deserved me or Lily…”

Severus staggered back and Raven walked on out the door.

“Willow…” Harry called as he chased after her.

She had entered the Forbidden Forest and was hauling ass.

“WILLOW PLEASE!” He called out once again.

She came to a stop and pivoted around. Harry grimaced as she was sobbing uncontrollably.

“He turned his back to me and willingly! THEY ALL DID!”

Harry winced and was inching his way over.

“I got my heart ripped out and he locked his away.”

Raven waved her wand about and Harry narrowed his eyes as she was whispering something under her breath.

“NOOOO!” Harry shouted in recognition.

He grabbed his wand but it was too late. Her body seemed to poof only it hadn’t.

“WILLOW!” Harry yelled as she slithered away.

Harry dashed after her but she was long gone. Only one person came to mind but he hadn’t a clue where she was, considering Umbridge had fired her. Harry feared the worst. Professor McGonagall had made it clear that Transfiguration wasn’t something to be taken lightly. Not only was it extremely difficult to achieve, it was very dangerous. If he couldn’t find Professor McGonagall and get her to help Willow… She could end up stuck, or worse.

Harry froze upon the all too familiar voice. He peered over and staggered back in disbelief.

“I wasn’t expecting you… Not for a couple more days at least.”

The man nodded and stepped on out of the shadows.

“I managed to take care of my affairs sooner than expected. Though I must admit… I had some difficultly as your message was rather vague.”

“I had my reasons…”
“Hm. It seems as if you’re in the midst of something at the moment.”

“Yes actually. But I could use your help. And believe me when I say this is right up your alley…”

“Is it now?”

Harry nodded in response.

“Yes and we should talk while we look.”

“And what is it we’re looking for?”
“Your cousin…”
The man reared back in question.

“Corvina Malfoy or Little Raven as you called her.”
