Chapter 32 Charming Kind of Life

Chapter 32- Charming Kind of Life

I do not own Twilight or SOA.

Five years later…

“Where’s your backpack, baby?”

“Oh yeah!”

Ava laughed as Jackie headed back to his room and grabbed his backpack.

“Got your lunchbox?”

“Yes, it’s in my backpack.” He said while patting it.

“Alright. You ready?”

Ava smiled and took him by the hand as they headed out. Michaela, Abel, and little Brooke (Jax and Michaela Teller’s three year old daughter) were waiting outside for them.

“ABEL!” Jackie squealed and rushed on over.

Abel laughed as Jackie hugged him.

“Abel’s gonna be my bestest friend, mommy!”

“I’m sure he will be. But just keep in mind what we talked about.”

“Right. He won’t be in same class.”

“He’s in the big boy’s class.”

“That’s right. But it won’t be long before you’re in the big boy class too.”

“But no with Abel.”

“Right. Sorry buddy, that’s just how things go. But you’ll have plenty of time to play after school.”

“We can go to my house. Grandma got me a new game!” Abel asked.

Michaela sighed on this.

“I can see your mother approves.” Ava teased and Michaela sort of laughed.

“I don’t understand these video games…” Michaela whispered with a frown.

“Ah one of those…”

“Leave it to Gemma.”

The women followed behind as they boys started walking to school. Brooke held her hands out for Ava and Michaela handed her over.

“Yeah let’s give your momma a break.”

Brooke smiled and kissed her on the cheek. Brooke was a spitting image of Michaela, but she had Jax’s deep blue eyes.

“Mom?” Abel called as they were almost to the school.

“Can Jackie stay with us this weekend?”

Michaela smiled.

“Actually they’re going to be with us for a whole two weeks!”

The boys stopped in their tracks and Ava nodded.

“That’s right.”

“Two weeks?!” Jackie said in surprise.

“That’s right, baby. You remember when I told you that mommy and daddy were taking a trip, right?”

“Well Uncle Jax and Aunt Michaela offered to watch after you.”

“YES!” He said making a fist pump gesture, the way Abel taught him.”

Abel giggled.

“This is going to be so much fun!”

“Yes it is!” Jackie said as they started walking again.

Once they got to the school, Ava went to walk her son in.

“I will take him.” Abel said and wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

Ava smiled and pecked him on the cheek.

“Such a big boy. Thank you, Abel.”

“You’re welcome. I won’t let anything happen to him.”

“I know you won’t.”

The women watched as the boys headed into the building.

“But I will miss them…” Brooke pouted.

“Awe, they won’t be long.” Ava assured.

“You know I bet Uncle Chibs has some ice cream with your name on it. Should we go see about this?”

“Yes we should.” Brooke said with a nod.

“Well alright. Let’s walk on back and we’ll head on over!”

Brooke let out an excited squeal and hugged Ava.

“I don’t wanna hear yer excuses. Yer not aboot ta steal from me!”

“Uh oh…” Ava uttered as they entered the bar and grill to see Chibs holding one of their employees up against the wall.

Once he saw the girls he recoiled and was quick to drop his hold. Ava hunkered down to Brooke’s level.

“You see that booth over there?”

The little girl nodded.

“Why don’t you go and wait for Uncle Chibs over there.”

Ava walked on and her husband sent her an apologetic glance.

“Sorry, lass. I didn’t know ye was bringin’ one of the wee ones.” He whispered then went on to drag the man into the office.

Ava shut the door behind them and nodded her towards the thief.

“What’s going on, Tony?”

“I was going to pay it back.”

Chibs shook his head on this and retrieved a wad of money from his pocket. He handed it over and Ava counted it out.

“There’s over two hundred dollars here!”

“I’m sorry.”

“Sorry? We’ve been offering you plenty of overtime and you make a bank on tips alone. Yet this is how you repay us?!”

“Look, it won’t happen again. I promise.”

“Yer right.” Chibs muttered as he sat at the desk and wrote out a check.

He handed it over after and Tony looked on in confusion.

“That’s fur the hours ya pulled this week. Consider that your severance package. Don’t show yer face here again or we’ll be havin’ a lot more than words. Ye best be glad me little niece just walked in, or ye’d have a face full of me fist aboot now.”

Ava opened the office door and Chibs literally kicked him in the ass on the way out.

“Long day already?” She questioned while pulling the door to again.

“Ye’ve no idea… I can’t believe I caught him red-handed. He dipped right inta the register, like it was nuthin’. Two years… Jaysus.”

“We can find someone else. We got Brenda and Pete still. Hell, Brenda’s been dying to get Tony’s position and she’s more than proved herself.” Ava said while looking through some of the old applicants.

That was the one thing they never had to worry about. People were foaming at the mouth to get a job at the REAPER BAR and GRILL. And that seemed to be a thing state wide. Chibs hadn’t intended for that to happen when he first opened the place. But the more he and Ava discussed it, the more they decided it would be best. He just hadn’t planned on it being this huge of a success. Because of how successful it became he found himself pretty busy. He didn’t have much time for the shop these days so Jax was running that. The boys would switch out between helping Chibs with the bar and grill and helping Jax out with the shop. None of them complained, considering they were making bank. They never dreamed of pulling in more money by doing a day’s honest labor, verses the old days of dealing in guns.

Chibs ran his hand along his wife’s ass then pecked her on the cheek.

“How’d this mornin’ go?”

“You would’ve been proud. He was so big about it. And Abel was the perfect gentleman, even offered to walk him in.”

“That’s great, darlin’. I hope he has a good first day.”

“Me too.”

Ava handed Chibs one of the applications and smiled. He narrowed his eyes then looked it over.

“Ye want me ta hire Kenny?!”

“Why not?”

“Is bad enough I had ta walk in on him and Keri… Now ye want me ta work alongside of him?”

(Kenny Winston and Kerrianne Telford)

“Might as well face it… He could become our son in law.”

“I’m telling you… any day now. He’s going to pop the question.”

“Keri hasn’t any business gettin’ hitched. She’s eighteen. She needs ta worry about finishin’ college.”

Ava raised her brows on this.

“Um, hello? How old was I when you were pervin’ on me?”

“Nah lass. That’s completely different!”

“Just is.”

“Wow… You really went into detail on that one. Kenny’s got a good head on his shoulders, we both know that. I really think Keri’s in good hands.”

“Hands?! They’re usually on her arse!” Ava looked down and Chibs sighed as his was currently on hers.

“Knock that shite off.”

Ava laughed as he darted on out of the office and was grumbling under his breath.

“I’m not hirin’ Kenny! I’d rather gnaw on glass.” He hollered as he went on to grab the ice cream for Brooke.

“I can arrange that!” Ava taunted.

He looked over as he handed Brooke her ice cream.

“That woman’s goin’ ta be the death of me, aye?” He said with a playful wink.

Brooke giggled then bit into her ice cream bar.

“And how are ye?” He questioned and went on to peck Michaela on the cheek.

“I’m good and you?”

“Eh… Can’t complain.” He said then scooted on in beside Brooke.

“Thank you, Uncle Chibby!”

This had Chibs looking his wife’s direction as she was at the bar now. Michaela laughed.

“Yeah. She worked really hard on getting that one through…”

“Hmmm…” He hummed.

“You open at eleven, right?” Michaela said looking to the time.

“Yeah. Is something up?”

“I have an appointment at nine.”

“Ah, she’ll be fine. Ye go on.”

“Are you sure?”

“Oh yeah. I’ll get her nice and sugared up fur ya!” He said with a wink Brooke’s way.

“Thank you.” Michaela said as she came to her feet.

“I’ll be back before you know it. I want you to listen to Aunt Ava and Uncle Chibby, alright?”

“Come on, lass. Not ye too!”

“Okay, mommy. I’ll be good.” Brooke said with a giggle.

Michaela laughed and kissed his cheek on the way out. Chibs cleared his throat and nodded Brooke’s direction.

“Ye just call me Uncle Chibs, alright?”

Brooke frowned on this.

“I no like that.” “Why not?”

“Because…” She said with a shrug and went back to her ice cream.

Ava headed on over and sat across from them.

“Pretty good, huh?”

“Yes, chocolate. It’s my favorite.”

“Uncle Chibby…?” Chibs uttered and Ava giggled.

“Oh come on. It’s cute and you know it.”

Chibs shook his head then ran his fingers through his goatee. Brooke crawled into Chibs’s lap then pointed to the window.

“Look, Uncle Chibby! It’s a horse!”

He looked over and saw a trailer with a brown horse sticking its head out. The trailer was parked at the convenient store next door.

“Can we go see it?!”

“We can try. They might be about ta leave.”

The three of them headed on out and made their way to the trailer. Brooke giggled as the horse brayed and was begging for attention. Ava smiled as Chibs walked on over and let Brooke pet the horse.

“Look, Aunt Ava! I pets the horse!”

“You sure are!”

The owner made his way around and was talking to Chibs. He handed him a card showing that they gave horseback riding lessons. Chibs thanked him and they went about their way.

“Bye, bye, Mr. Horse!” Brooke called as the trailer pulled out.

This had Ava looking to her husband a certain way.

“What?” He questioned as they were heading back to the bar and grill.

“I think I want another one…”

“Another what?” Chibs questioned as it wasn’t truly processing.

“Of those…” She pointed as Brooke made her way back to the booth and was looking out the window again.

“Oh yeah?” He said with a wide grin.

Ava nodded.

“Hmmm… I’m sure we can arrange that. Maybe we can work on that while we’re in Scotland.”

“I’m game.”

“What are we shootin’ fur this time?”

“I think Keri and Jackie need a little sister.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Chibs uttered as he sat at the bar then pulled her into his lap.

“And what would we call Telford number three?”

Ava looked to Brooke in thought.

“Aislinn Grace Telford…”

Chibs reared back on this.

“Ye’ve put some thought inta this, haven’t ye?”

Ava ran a hand along his chest.

“A little.” She admitted and Chibs kissed her.

Chibs thought the name rather fitting considering the meaning behind it. Aislinn (pronounced Ash-lin) was a Gaelic name that meant dream or vision.

“What do you think?”

“Couldn’t think of a better name, mo ghaol.”

But as he said this Kenny walked in, dressed in his Sunday’s best. Chibs reared back on this.

“Just give him a chance.”

“Ye gotta be shiten me! I done made myself clear.”

Ava put a finger to her husband’s lips.

“Play nice. He’s family…” She reminded and Chibs rolled his eyes.

Kenny had this nervous vibe about him as Chibs made his way over.

“Relax. He’s more talk than he is bite…” Ava whispered and patted Kenny on the back.

“Are you sure about that? He looks like he’s going to take a bullet to my head.”

Ava couldn’t help but to laugh. Kenny frowned on this.

Kenny sighed as Chibs waved him over and was heading into his office.

“Good luck!” Ava teased and Kenny let out a nervous laugh.

“Thanks. Something tells me I’m going to need it.”

“You got this. Just let him know you mean business. But whatever you do… don’t let him down. And I’m not just talking about the job, Kenny.”

Kenny nodded in understanding.

“You know I’m surprised you didn’t want to work at the shop…” Ava admitted.

“If I’m going to marry Keri… I gotta start somewhere.” He whispered and Ava nodded in understanding.

Ava knew about the engagement but was waiting for Keri to break the news to her father.

“You’ll get there…”

“Think I should’ve worn my cut instead?”

“You’re good…” Ava assured and went on to adjust his collar.

“ARE YE COMIN’ OR NOT?! I HAVEN’T ALL DAY, KID!” Chibs hollered and Ava laughed.

Kenny let out a miserable groan and headed that way.

“Come on, Filip… Don’t be such a hardass. Give the kid a chance.” She whispered amongst herself.

“Brooke, would you like some water?”

“Yes please!”

Ava poured her a glass then grabbed some wet ones.

“Would you like to color?” Ava asked as she wiped her face and hands down.

“Yes. I would like my bunny book.”

“You got it.”

Ava lifted her head however as the “new” sheriff entered the bar and with Keri.

“Scotti around?”

“That depends… What do you want, Jarry?” Ava couldn’t stand this bitch.

She was constantly trying to find something on them but never had shit. And it was more than obvious she was crushing on HER husband. She was always finding reasons to visit.

“Just had a little run in with this one in town.”

Keri sent Ava an apologetic glance as the sheriff waved the joint about.

“Jesus, Keri…” Ava whispered.

“I’m sorry. I…”

“Look, just watch after Brooke.”

Keri nodded and went and sat with her. Ava gestured for the sheriff to head outside.

“Is this what you really came here for? A little weed?”

“It’s illegal. I could’ve taken her in…”

“Hmmm. That would’ve been a little hypocritical, don’t you think?”

Ava expressed in reminder of when she caught the sheriff and one of her deputies smoking a joint when they were off duty.

“You’re really going to go there?”

“Depends… Are you going to keep eye-fucking my husband?”

The sheriff looked to Ava in disbelief.

“That’s right, sister. We can play this game allll day. Woman to woman… we know the real reason you keep popping up and with the most bogus shit you can come up with. He’s a married man, sweetheart and he ain’t after no cop pussy.”

The sheriff hauled off and slapped her. Ava was quick to slam her up against the wall.

“Watch yourself, sheriff… People have a horrible habit of disappearing when pushing me too far.”

“Is that a threat?”

“I don’t have to threat. For one thing… What you just did is assault, sheriff or not. I could have your fucking badge!”

“Jesus! What are you doing?!” Gemma scolded and pried Ava off the sheriff.

“Just having a little girl to girl chat.” Ava said and the sheriff went on to adjust her shirt.

Gemma shook her head upon Ava.

“That didn’t look like no “talk”.”

“Look, just keep that wild child of Scotti’s under control or next time… I’m bringing her in.”

“Whatever you say, sheriff. Do have yourself a wondrous day.”

“Are you trying to get yourself arrested?!” Gemma reprimanded once the sheriff drove off.

“Pffft… She could arrest me all day long and wouldn’t have shit to keep me on. Besides, she just wants herself some Scottish sausage…”

“Oh really?”

“Oh yeah. She’s got it bad. Puts on the heavy flirt when it’s just the two of them.”

“How do you know this?”

“Well how do you think I know?”

Gemma couldn’t help but to smile.

“I taught you well.”

“That you did…” Ava said with a genuine beam and opened the door for Gemma.

“Grandma!!!” Brooke hollered and ran on over.

“Hey, sweetheart. How you doing today?”

“I is good. Uncle Chibby gave me ice cream and I gots to pet a horse!”

“Wow! Sounds like you’ve had a very exciting day already!”

“I have! Want to see my picture?!”

She took Gemma by the hand and went on to show her what she colored. Ava cranked her head towards the office doors as they opened. Kenny stepped on out but he had one of the bar and grill shirts and apron in hand. Ava smiled and gave Kenny a thumbs up. He smiled in response.

“So when do you start?”

“He told me to get my daughter stealin’ arse here first thing tomorrow mornin’.” Kenny mocked.

“Hey, that was pretty good!” Ava remarked as to his dead on impression.

“Thanks. I’ve been practicing.”

“Have ye now?” They heard from behind and Ava and Kenny shared the same wide-eyed expression.

“I done gave yer arse a job. Ye don’t start till tomorrow. So get yer arse on home. And I mean yer home, boy! Don’t go…” Chibs trailed off however as he saw his daughter sitting with Brooke and Gemma at the table.

He looked to his wife in question but narrowed his eyes once he saw the handprint along her face.

“What’s all this aboot?”

Kenny reared back as he too just took notice of Keri.

“What are you doing here, babe?”

Chibs frowned on this.

“Knock it off.” Ava whispered with a nudge.

Babe… She’s got a name.” Chibs scoffed.

Kenny ignored this and headed that way. Ava showed Chibs the roach Keri was caught with.

“I know. But you know that’s a rarity with her. This is Jarry with nothing better to do. And who do you think she asked for when she brought her in here?”

Chibs curled his lip on this and Ava laughed.

“She do that?” He asked while caressing the area Jarry hit.

Just seeing that had him wanting to beat the bitch’s face in. He himself was getting rather tired of the drama and all because she had herself a little crush.

“Yep. She’s got it bad. I bet she’s got an entire library of cops and criminals porn!”

“Ava…” He uttered but with a chuckle.

“It’s just a little pot… So don’t be too hard on her.”

“Aye…” He murmured then chucked the rest into the trashcan.

“Hey, that was still good!” Ava teased.

“Then ye can go and rummage through the trash fur it!” He taunted in return.

“I just might!”

By the time Chibs made his way over, Kenny was already drilling Keri.

“That doesn’t even sound like you!”

Gemma and Chibs exchanged glances on this.

“I know… I’m sorry. I was just a little stressed over these exams.”

“I get that… But getting caught could get you kicked out, period.”

“He’s right. Not worth it.” Chibs piped in and gestured for Keri to follow him outside.

“What are ye all stressed aboot? Ye got this and know it.”

Keri lowered her head and Chibs reached over and lifted her chin.

“Yer smarter than anyone at that school.” But as he said this he took notice of something else.

“What the hell is that?”

Keri’s eyes widened as he pointed to the engagement ring on her finger.

“That had better come from a Cracker Jacks box!”

“A what?”

Chibs gritted his teeth then darted back inside.

“DA!” Keri shouted.

Ava snapped her head that direction and hopped to her feet.

“Take Brooke outside…” He said whilst looking to Gemma.

Gemma nodded and took Brooke by the hand.

“Come on, baby. Let’s go catch some butterflies. I saw some out in the pasture behind the building.”

“Lots of them!”

Brooke smiled and Chibs waited until they were outside. He grabbed Kenny by the collar of his shirt then jerked him right out of the booth.

“DA!” “FILIP!” Ava and Keri chorused.

“What makes ye think ye can go and propose to me little girl?!”

“DON’T YOU HURT HIM!” Keri shouted and shoved her dad off him.

“Keri…” Ava whispered as she stepped in between the two.

Keri looked to Chibs with tears in her eyes.

“Why do ya act like that! Ye knew we was gettin’ married eventually. We’ve been datin’ for a while!”

“Yer not ready!”

“I’m eighteen!”

“That’s too young! Ye haven’t finished college yet and…”

“What’s ta say I can’t marry Kenny and do that too?!”

“Dammit kid. Ye don’t get it.”

“What don’t I get, huh?!”

“Yer better than this. Ye don’t need ta be marryin’ a…”

“A…” Keri challenged.

“Ye know what…”

Ava shook her head and cut her husband a look of absolute hell.

“Kenny, take Keri home, please.” Ava said and Kenny couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

“I can’t believe you.”

“Can’t believe what?!” Chibs damn near growled.

“Come on, Ava. She’s better than that. She should find herself some nice college lad ta marry. Maybe a doctor or…”

This had Chibs staggering back in disbelief.

“What did ye say?!”

“You heard me. I married you. So what’s that make me? And you seem to forget we had a member dating a doctor once. You saw how that turned out. Kenny’s a good man, like his father. He treats Keri right and you know it. Why does it matter if he’s a Son or not? And what would Opie think? Seeing you act like this about his son? Jesus, Filip. I never knew you could be so…”

Chibs rested his hands about his hips then closed his eyes for a moment.

“Marrying a Son doesn’t change anything. She’s still your daughter and always will be. If anything, at least she’s keeping it in the SAMCRO family. That ought to make you feel a sense of pride even, you stubborn man you!”

He reared back as Ava grabbed her keys and was heading out.

“Where you offta?!”

“To take a breather, before I take a goddamn frying pan to that ridiculous head of yours!”

“You alright there?”

“I’m fine…” Ava said as she lit up a smoke.

“Ava…” She heard Chibs call from behind.

Ava closed her eyes on this.

“Yer right. I’m sorry. Think ye can open up so I can have a talk with me girl?”

Ava finished her cigarette before answering.

“I can do that.”

Chibs nodded then pecked her on the cheek. He grimaced as she gave him the cold shoulder and headed back inside.

“Ouch…” Gemma uttered.

“I had it comin’.” Chibs said behind a miserable sigh.

When Chibs entered the living room, Keri and Kenny were on the couch. Kenny was holding Keri as she was in literal sobs. Chibs drew back the deepest of breaths and sat in the recliner across from them.

“When do ye plan on doin’ this?”

Keri lifted her head.

“Sometime next year, after she finishes school.” Kenny replied.

“Look, just let me know where and what all ye want and I’ll make certain it gets done.”

This had Keri looking to her father in downright confusion. Chibs nodded upon Kenny.

“I’m only gonna tell ye this once, so ye best listen up. Ye hurt me girl and ye’ll hafta answer ta me? Understood?”

“Yes, sir.”

“I mean, son. I love ya but that’s me little girl. So ye best keep that in mind if ye want me ta walk her down that aisle and hand her off.”

“I’d carve my own heart out before hurting her.” Kenny said with utmost sincerity.

“I’m gonna hold ye ta that.”

Kenny nodded in understanding. Keri hopped up and hugged her father.

“Thank you.”

“Don’t go thanking me just yet…”

Keri regarded her father in wonder.

“No more pot. If yer gonna juggle the college life and marriage. Ye need ta keep that head of yers clear. And don’t go makin’ me a grandfather just yet. Give me a couple more years. Ava wants another wee one and that would be a little awkward, aye?”

Keri had a good laugh at this.

“Fair enough…”

“I love you, kid. Both of ye… I just worry aboot ye sometimes that’s all.”

“I love you too, da.”

“Cool.” Ava said as she was walking Brenda through her newest responsibilities.

She would be taking over Tony’s place now. The five foot nothing blonde smiled as she continued in showing off her mixing skills. Ava nodded as she got everyone at the bar served and right on time, during one of their busiest hours.

“Nice!” She called with a high five.

“You’ve come a long ways, Brenda.”

“Thanks, bosslady!”

Ava snorted on this.

“Where’s your nametag, Michael?”

The young man looked down and frowned.

“Sorry. I must’ve left it at home.”

“I’m fucking with you. We don’t wear nametags… We’re all reapers here.” Ava said with a smirk.

Brenda died of laughter and Michael sighed.

“Relax, hun. You’re doing good. It’s just your third day. You don’t have to look like you’re about to shit yourself.”

Michael laughed as Ava handed him a set of drinks and pointed to one of the tables.

“Make certain you ask how their food is and if the steak got done the way they wanted.”

“Yes ma’am.”

“Ava’s fine.”

“Yes ma… I mean Ava.”

“Good boy. Now go on.”

“He’s got it bad.”

“Who does?” Ava questioned as Brenda was serving up some more drinks.

“Michael. You do realize you’re the only one he gets that flustered with. Kid spends more time staring at your boobs than anything else.”

“But he’s so sweet. Hard to believe he’s just another perv.” Ava uttered and Brenda laughed.

“They’re all pervs. It’s about how well they wear the mask.”

“True that.” Ava murmured as her husband walked in and was checking on some of their customers.

It wasn’t typical for Ava and Chibs to be here every day. But as owners and with Chibs as the manager… they wanted to make sure things were done the proper way and that they had good employees. They worked about four days out of the week. But when they worked, they really worked. Both were firm believers in getting in there, with their employees and busting ass. Not a single employee complained when it came to Ava and Chibs. If anything, they often bragged about how nice it was… working for people that truly gave a damn. Bobby helped them run the books and rather shared the assistant manager responsibilities with Ava. In fact, he would be the one running things while they were away.

One of the waitresses was busy so Ava took it upon herself to serve one of the tables their food. She smiled and went on to ask how the food was etc… She let out a bit of a yelp however as Chibs pinched her on the ass when he walked by. He winked upon their customers then kept walking.

“Well someone’s filing for sexual harassment…” Ava teased.

“I put a ring on it, so I bought it!” Chibs hollered as he was heading into his office.

“He’s got you there.” The man she was serving murmured.

“I’m afraid so.”

Ava headed into the office and Chibs nodded upon her as he was leaning against his desk, with his arms folded about his chest.

“You talk to Keri?”

“And…” He gestured for Ava to shut the door.

“I suppose I more or less gave my blessin’…”

Ava smiled and hugged the hell out of him.

“So they won’t run off to some JP or Vegas now?!” She taunted and Chibs frowned in thought.

He kissed the top of her head.

“Ava, what I said… Hadn’t anythin’ ta do with me thinkin’ less of ye, or Keri even. Ye know how us Sons can be… I just don’t ever want her ta feel like she’s hasn’t a choice.”

“Keri’s smarter than that. She wouldn’t stick around if she didn’t want to. She loves Kenny and he loves her. And deep down, I think you know that.”

“Aye, I do. Just hard ta face the fact that she’s all grown up now. I didn’t have that long with her ta begin with…”

“I know. But look at it this way… You’ll be there for all the other milestones.”

“That’s very true, lass.”

Chibs cleared his throat however.

“Ye do realize that new kid we hired stares at yer arse a lot, right?”

Ava lifted her head on this.

Chibs died of laughter.

“Can ye blame him?” He murmured while giving her ass a good squeeze.

“That everythin’?” Chibs questioned as he was gathering the bags.

“Yep!” Ava called as Jackie went on to jump on the bed.

“Didn’t we talk about that?” Ava said and Jackie frowned.

“But it’s fun, mommy!”

“I know it is, but hitting your head, not so much.”

“Mommy…” He said behind a giggle and continued.

“Do as your mum says, Jackie.”

Jackie sighed then came to a stop.

“Where are you and mommy going?”

“Ta Scotland.”

“Is that really far away?”

“Oh yeah.”

Jackie looked to his mother rather wide-eyed.

“Will you and daddy be gone for a very long time?”

“No, baby. We’ll be back before you know it. Besides, you’ll be having so much fun with Abel and Brooke you won’t even realize we’re gone.”

“I no know about that…”

“You mean don’t know…”

“Yeah. I will miss you mommy and daddy too.”

Ava smiled then picked him up. She kissed his forehead.

“We’re going to miss you too. So much that I imagine we’ll bring back a present or two.”

Chibs chuckled on this.

“That’s right. Yer mum knows all about using bribery when needed.”

“What is bri… Bri… Ugh me no say the word.”

“Bribery is what your daddy uses when he wants his way.”

“Don’t let her fool ye, son. She’s got it backwards.”

“I so confused.”

Chibs had a good laugh at this.

“See?! Yer learnin’ already.”

Ava cut her husband a rueful glare.

“Awe… I love you too, baby.” Chibs taunted before pecking her on the lips.

He took Jackie from her hold then headed outside.

“Sissy says that you and mommy want to have a baby.”

Chibs froze on this.

“Is that so?”

Jackie nodded.

“Where are you going to get the baby, daddy?”

Ava had one of the bags in hand and was about to load it, when she caught wind of this. She let out an evil laugh, before heading back inside.

“Why is mommy laughing like that?”

“Because she’s evil.”

“Mommy no evil, daddy.” Jackie said behind a giggle.

“Hmmm. That’s debatable.” He said and went on to place Jackie in his car seat.

“Can I go to the store with you?”

“When you pick up the baby!” Jackie said behind another giggle and as if to say ‘duh’.

Chibs could hear his wife losing it as she continued with the packing.

“That’s not quite how it works, son.”

Jackie frowned on this.

“But I wants to help pick one out! Sissy says I could have a brother or sister and I want a sister cause I already have a big brother and Sissy’s like way big, ya know?! So I wants a very little sister.”

“Do ya now?”

“Yep. But I no care what she looks like, as long as she’s nice to me.”

“Hm… But what if ye had a little brother instead?”

“I dunno. I really want a sister. But I guess a brother would be okay too.”

“Alright we’ll keep that in mind.”

“So you will get me one? As a present? Like when you go bye, bye then come back, right?”

Chibs was the one laughing now.

“In a way… But it’ll take some time to cook.”

“A long time?”

“It might seem like a long time. But it won’t be.”

Jackie sighed on this.

“I no wanna wait too long.”

“I’ll do my best, Jackie.”

“Okay, daddy. You do that.”

Ava had tears streaming down her face she was laughing so hard.

“You enjoyin’ this?” Chibs uttered as he shut the door.

Chibs smacked her on the ass.

“Get in the truck, ye pain in me arse!”

Ava snorted as he went and grabbed what was left, then locked everything up on the way out.

“I decided I want two babies. A brother and a sister, okay?”

Ava’s eyes widened in thought.

“Umm… How about we listen to some music?!”

“Hey there, cyborg.” Ava said as she greeted Tig with a hug.

Cyborg became her new nickname for Tig when he got his prosthetic hand a couple years back.

“Hey, doll. You ready for your big trip?”

“Oh yeah.”

“Good deal. You two deserve it.”

Ava smiled as Jax pulled up on his father’s bike. That was all they could salvage other than the chapel table and shop itself. Everything else… was gone. It was heartbreaking to see the Sons of Anarchy go through that. A lot of that stuff was sentimental, in the sense of it being irreplaceable and from the original nine. But they sucked it up and rebuilt, right where the club last stood. Chibs wanted to give the impression that they were not a force to be reckoned with. Sure they were knocked down but not for long as they were able to rise again and were stronger than ever.

Each of the Sons gathered round, so they could give Ava and Chibs the proper send off. Wayne stepped out of his trailer and nodded Ava’s direction. He’d retired a few years back and was living on the clubhouse property now. He didn’t give a shit what anyone thought when it came to his old crew and he pretty much did things his own way now. He didn’t like it when the big boys aka ones in blue came to town. A lot of things changed and they went out their way to give the Sons of Anarchy hell. But since they’d become a true biker’s club. They hadn’t anything to pin on them and if the boys could keep their noses clean, they wouldn’t. Wayne had become like that of a second father to Ava and he considered himself a grandfather figure when it came to Jackie. So much so that he often babysat for them.

“Take care of yourself, sweetheart. But have fun.”

“Thank you.” Ava said and hugged him.

“I’ll help Michaela with the little ones.”

“If Gemma doesn’t beat you to it.”

“True.” He said behind a laugh.

“Ye are aware that yer son done proposed ta me girl, right?”

Opie looked to Chibs in shock.

“He what?”

“Oh yeah… She had the ring on and everythin’.”

“Damn. He works fast.”

Chibs tilted his head on this and Opie let out a nervous chuckle.

“Not what I meant.”

“Hmmm…” Chibs hummed then looked to the time.

“We better get. I best not get back ta find out he knocked her arse up.”

Opie recoiled in thought.

“Come on, Ava. We’re gonna miss our flight!”

“Imma comin’!”

Somewhere in Scotland…

Ava laughed as Chibs pulled into the pub.

“Leave it to you to take me to a pub, first thing.”

Chibs chuckled then parked the rental car.

“Come on now, lass. Where’d ye think I’d take ye?!”

“Right…” Ava said with a grin as Chibs hopped on out and opened the door for her.

He took her arm in a gentleman like fashion and they headed inside.

“Pick ye out a spot. I gotta hit the head.”

“Got it.” Ava said and went on to find them a booth.

“And what do we have here?” Ava heard the man on stage say.

Ava took her seat but narrowed her eyes as he was looking directly at her. He nodded her direction and went on to play another song, but was eyeing her the entire time.

“Oh no…” Ava groaned amongst herself and sunk into the booth.

The guy was totally asking her out and using this song in order to do so. He walked off the stage and made his way over. He kept strumming on that guitar and stopped right before her. Chibs had exited the bathroom by this point and rolled his eyes, once he caught wind of this. He ordered a couple beers then made his way over.

“So whattya say? Ya wanna get out of here?” The guy uttered with a flirtatious wink.

“Yer aff yer heid (You’re off your head – a little bit daft). She ain’t gonnae no’ dae that! (She’s not going to do that.)”

The guy looked over as if to challenge him.

Oh? And why not?!”

“Cause she’s me wife ye fuckin’ numbnut!”

The man got this stupefied look about him then lowered his guitar.

“Filip?! Filip Telford?!”

He dropped his guitar and hugged the hell out of him. Ava had never been so confused. Chibs chuckled then patted the man on the back as he hugged him in return. The man got a little teary-eyed and was all choked up.

“Jesus. Look at ye!” The man said as he planted his hands along Chibs’s face.

He cranked his head Ava’s direction then looked to Chibs once again.

“Me bairn (baby) cuz went and got himself settled down. And will ye look at that…” He said with a wink Ava’s way.

“Ye did good. Real good. Fuck.”

He kissed Chibs’s forehead then had him take a seat.

“Drinks on me. Good ta have ya home! I’d say sorry for comin’ onta the wife. But I’d be lyin’.” He said behind a chuckle.

Ava looked to Chibs in question as the man headed back onstage.

“Ye remember my cousin, right?”

“Aye. The one that got me out of Scotland when shite hit the fan.”

Ava’s jaw dropped in realization. Chibs smiled and took a pull off his beer.

“That’s Brodie. I should’ve known the son of a bitch would go and hit on ye. But I didn’t expect it right of the fuckin’ bat.”

“Not my fault! Ye should’ve went and found ye an ugly wife!” Brodie hollered in mid-song and Chibs died of laughter.

  5. This was an awesome story hon. You are a great writer and story teller…I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to your next…Thanks for sharing your talents with us…until next time…bigg huggs.

  6. What have u done to me?!?! Like seriously my addiction needs help. I’m so in love with ur writing. Do I sound like an obsessed fangirl yet lol. Just can’t help it!! 2nd time was just as nice as the third!

  7. I really hope you do another twilight/ sons of anarchy story. Bella with either Jackson or Chibs. I’ve read both of the one you have and love love love them.

    1. I have three total actually Playing With Fire, The Shield, and The Highlander. I have another SOA one but they are OC’s> I write my female leads just as strong as I do Bella though. Up to you if you want to give it a try. It’s called Galway Girls. Unfortunately, I won’t be writing Bella anymore for personal reasons. I’ve used her quite a bit and I wisih to move on to other things. That it’s a conflict of interest for me now. Like I said, personal reasons. I just don’t want to write Bella anymore. But I will always write strong women.

  8. You write amazing Twilight/SOA crossovers. Read them all now and so don’t have a clue what I’m going to read now as you made me fall in love with your story, didn’t want to put it down.

    1. Thank you! It’s not a crossover. But I do have another SOA story. I kept the same feel but with OC’s as the main leads. It’s a Jax/OC and Chibs/OC pairing. If you’re interested. It’s called Galway Girls under my Sons of Anarchy tab.
