Well, sort of…
Yes, I’ve been MIA lately and for a good reason. My husband and I had this BRILLIANT idea to rip up the carpet in our living room and hallway and see what we could do with the hardwood floors underneath. Long story short… That turned out to be a task FROM HELL. We hadn’t a clue how bad they were underneath or about the ummm tile on top of dirty tile the people before us left. Ripping everything up took forever as it was like a rock and it was just the two of us. We got ripped off by some asshole from Home Depot during all this which left us in a major financial bind. I’m talking eating fucking ramen noodles, macaroni, what have you. Basically, the cheapest shit you could find. We hadn’t expected the financial burden it put us in. But in the long run, it was worth it once we learned the RIGHT way of doing it through someone else. We have a beautiful hardwood floor now after putting our blood, sweat, and tears into it. Just a little elbow grease was all it needed… Ha, I wish! The floor alone took us over two weeks to complete, and I had to paint the border and walls as well. It’s looking pretty fucking spiffy now. I will post pics to follow.
Now, there is one thing I’d like to point out, and I will post that here as well. I hadn’t posted anything here or on my fanfiction account about the work we were doing and because people tend to get pushy about those things. But this person took it to a whole new level, and I’m ashamed to even have them as a reader. This was the jerkiest, most fucked up comment I’d read about updating in a while. Sure, I’ve had some assholes. I’ve bitched about them right here even. But this one takes the cake… I haven’t any issue calling them out considering they were apparently on my FB friend list. How else would they have known we were working on our house?! No one here knew about that other than the ones on my personal friend list!
Now that that’s out of the bag… Let’s get to those updates and when to expect them. I am working on chapters 28, 29, and 30 to Galway girls. I even did a little bit of 31. But here’s the kicker… It’s taking a bit because the muses started out fickle as I was grouchy and tired when I first began. I was skipping around here and there, depending on my mood. Well, the muses have settled down a bit now that I’m not so fucking tired and sore from all the insane house shit. That’s good and bad. Good in the sense that I cannot stop writing. Bad in the sense that I can’t stop even for editing purposes or to post. My first chapter I had to split in half, and I’m still going. The others are there but not finished. So I’m just taking it as I go and letting the muses call the shots. This will take a bit, but it will be worth it. I wanted to have a chapter out this weekend, but that’s just not happening. You’re looking at next weekend, if not sooner, hopefully not later.
I make no promises. Just doing the best I can and playing this by how the muses are treating me. So far they will not let me break other than to eat, potty, and forced adulting(such as laundry, cleaning, cooking, dishes, picking up the girls from school etc…) You get the gist. Constant breaks throughout do not make the muse happy, not one bit. Such as life. So when I do get the time I tend to tune everything and everyone out and just write.
It’s only been a few weeks, and I felt like I was going through literal withdrawals. So trust me. I’m not going anywhere. I’m far from done. You’re not ridding of me that easily;). Love to all, and I thank you for your patience and understanding. Well, everyone besides Mr. or Mrs. Annoyed. You know who you are and I got two words for you. Fuck off!
